The TVs will be available through Best Buy's website and brick-and-mortar stores, as well as through Amazon.com, where Best Buy will become a third-party merchant.

"Amazon and Best Buy have a long history of working together", said Bezos, referring to Best Buy sales of Kindle readers. The Fire Edition TVs by Insignia and Toshiba are created to work seamlessly with Amazon's own voice assistant Alexa.

Amazon and Best Buy have announced a new level of partnership.

The new televisions will come with Fire TV built in, so streaming content can be searched and executed by voice through Amazon Alexa.

When it comes to Amazon Fire TV devices, there's a little more to the equation than when FireOS was only for tablets and smartphones.

The reason she didn't go to police was because she'd have to reveal her alleged relationship with Trump. Forget the story." The man then cryptically added, "That's a lovely little girl.

Such a collaboration would have unthinkable only a few years ago, when many observers believed Amazon was gradually killing Best Buy as it has other electronics retailers. If you've never used an Amazon Fire device before and don't often or never buy products from Amazon online, think twice about Amazon Fire TV devices.

Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly said the new Fire TVs will provide customers with a "incredible user experience".

Best Buy has also teamed up with other notable players in the smart TV space, like Samsung and LG. But this move feels bigger, if only because consumers often go to physical stores to look at a TV before making a purchase. The highlight feature of the Smart TVs is, of course, the Alexa integration. The new TVs will be coming to Canada later this year, the companies said. Customers can learn more at www.bestbuy.com/FireTVEdition or www.amazon.com/FireTVEdition. There's a dedicated section of the home screen for Amazon Prime TV Shows and Movies, plus a nifty remote that can call up Alexa on demand. "Our goal is to enrich the lives of our customers by offering them the very best products and services, whether they come to us online, visit our stores, or invite us into their home". The products will be available in the U.S. and Canada starting this summer.
