'New Yorker' says handwritten note by former Playmate details affair with Trump

According to the document, which McDougal confirmed she wrote, the former Playmate met the NY billionaire in 2006 when he was at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles filming an episode of "The Apprentice". Trump was married at the time to Melania and their son Barron was only a few months old when the affair started. The former moder also confirmed the legitimacy of an eight-page, handwritten journal detailing the affair, which was provided to the magazine by John Crawford, a friend of McDougal.
On Wednesday, InTouch magazine published a full transcript of a 2011 interview with Clifford in which she described having sex with Trump in July 2006 and said she could describe the president's "junk perfectly". The New Yorker reports that a pool party was thrown at the Playboy Mansion following an episode of Trump's reality show The Apprentice, which was filmed on location. McDougal claims that Trump "immediately took a liking to me, kept talking to me - telling me how handsome I was etc".
She said he always ordered the same meal - steak and mashed potato - and never drank, describing him as "charming" and "polite". She would then fly to events all over the country to see Trump and continue the affair.
The piece claims the tabloid also contracted Ms McDougal to write a fitness column, and approached Ms McDougal about extending her agreement after news broke that Stormy Daniels had been paid not to discuss her own alleged affair with the U.S. president.
The relationship allegedly continued until April 2007, when Ms. McDougal called it off, partly out of guilt and partly because of racially insensitive and disrespectful comments Mr. Trump had made.
The woman sold her story for $150,000 to the publisher of the National Enquirer, which never ran the piece, the story said.
In a statement, A.M.I. told The New Yorker that it had no leverage over Trump.
"On August 5, 2016, McDougal signed a limited life-story rights agreement granting A.M.I. exclusive ownership of her account of any romantic, personal, or physical relationship she has ever had with any 'then-married man, '" Farrow wrote, adding that a retainer spells out that the man in question was Trump. "But I didn't understand the full parameters of it", McDougal told the New Yorker of the alleged payment.
Melania Trump was reportedly "blindsided" by the reports of the payoff and "furious" with the President, two people close to the couple told The New York Times.
The National Enquirer is owned by David Pecker, who has claimed to be a friend of Trump's. After, Trump offered her money.
The White House issued a qualified denial in response to the story. Here's what she had to say about their alleged tryst. "This is an old story that is just more fake news". She refused to speak about the alleged affair, but said she regretted signing the contract.
