Horowitz: The Memo Farce

"At one point you say you're an adviser to the Kremlin, then you're an adviser to Donald Trump!". To the best of my knowledge, the president of the United States has never met Carter Page.

The man at the center of the controversial surveillance memo - former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page - sat down exclusively with Laura Ingraham on "The Ingraham Angle".

Rep. Adam Schiff, D- Calif., the House Intelligence Committee's senior Democrat, said the 10-page Democratic memo aiming to dispute the GOP document includes those details.

After declassifying the memo on Friday, President Trump called the FBI's actions "a disgrace" and said "a lot of people should be ashamed". "I don't think I've ever met him". On Monday, the House intelligence Committee voted to allow the release the Democrats assessment of that evidence.

"I was teaching a course down Broadway here at NYU and I told them a couple of things about what I was talking about in my course and I gave them notes, or documents, that I gave my students", explained of his exchange with this person.

Mr. Carter Page is a former banker in the investment company based in Moscow, who founded his own investment firm later in NY. Stephanopoulos also mentioned Page's relationship with Victor Podobnyy, who was later charged with working as a Russian intelligence agent under diplomatic cover.

Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told CNN at the time that Page is "certainly not part of the campaign I'm running".

Page confirmed to ABC News that he is the individual identified as "Male-1" in a 2015 court document submitted in a case involving the Russian spies.

Gidley added that, "While President Trump has the utmost respect and support for the rank-and-file members of the F.B.I., the anti-Trump bias at the top levels that appear to have existed is troubling". The speech was aired live by Kremlin-connected Russia Today. "For now, his enthusiasm works for me", the recruiter says of Page.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told Sean Hannity on Monday night that it is "absolutely embarrassing" that "the mainstream media is totally uninterested" in the allegation of Federal Bureau of Investigation misconduct contained in Nunes's memo, released on Friday.

"It sounds - giving documents, to a quote unquote spy - it sounds a lot worse than reality, but that's reality".
