The superintendent of Vermilion Parish schools says the board won't press charges against a teacher who was removed from the board's special meeting Monday night. The disturbing incident took place after Hargrave asked school board members to justify the massive raise while teachers and school employees had reportedly gone without a pay hike in years.
"I have a serious issue with a superintendent or any person in a position of leadership getting any type of raise, I feel like it's a slap in the face for the teachers, the cafeteria workers or any other support staff we have", Hargrave is seen saying in the video posted to YouTube.
Hargrave received a warning from the board that it was public comment only, not a question and answer session, according to KATC.
Hargrave, her school, Puyau, Fontana, and the city marshal's office did not respond to BuzzFeed News's request for comment.
When Hargrave wouldn't budge, the marshal escorted her out of the room, pushed her to the floor, handcuffed her in the hallway and removed her from the building.

On Tuesday morning, Hargrave's Facebook page was filled with supportive comments, some thanking her for taking a stand. She was, however, charged with "remaining after being forbidden" and "resisting an officer", both of which can be brought by a marshal, and do not require the school board's cooperation.
