Meryl Streep, Emma Watson bring activists as Golden Globe guests

Laura Dern, Amy Poehler, Susan Sarandon, Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Michelle Williams and Shailene Woodley have said that on the red carpet they will each be accompanied by activists in a range of fields.

Hollywood stars are wearing black to speak out against sexual harassment in the workplace, and it's not just about matters in Hollywood.

On the red carpet, Streep said, "I think that people are aware, now, of a power imbalance".

In keeping with the spirit of the empowering Time's Up movement, eight actresses will take female activists as their plus-ones to the Golden Globes Sunday night.
