Instagram Will Now Add "Recommended" Posts

31 December 2017, 03:45 | Gordon Grant

New Instagram test adds posts your friends like into your feed

Instagram users to now see ‘recommended posts’ in home feed

The only difference is that previously, the recommendations appeared in the "Explore" section of the site while now, the recommended posts will be visible in one's home feed.

To hide the recommended post, tap the three-dot icon (horizontal dots on iOS, vertical dots on Android) above the recommended post tap Hide.

If your friends liked something on photo-sharing social network Instagram, it might now show up on your feed - even if you do not follow that particular person. These posts are suggested based on posts liked by accounts you follow.

It's not the only new feature Instagram has been subtly rolling out.

The implementation of the suggested/recommended posts is a big change for the Instagram's users to easily explore more things in their circle.

When scrolling through Feed, you may see posts that are Recommended for You. However, they were not pushed to the users' home feed.

Instagram is starting to roll out recommended posts directly into users' home feeds, according to TechCrunch. They will only appear once you have seen all the posts in the feed, reports TechCrunch.

Davis inks 3-year deal with Rockies
With eight appearances in the postseason, Davis did not give up a run, and nailed down the Royals victory in the World Series. Already in the 2018 offseason, they've snagged up Cleveland Indians stud Bryan Shaw , while resigning left-hander Jake McGee .

The good news is that the "Recommended for You" section is not meant to displace the content you care about in favor of Instagram's own suggestions.

Between the removal of chronological order and the introduction of recommended posts, @instagram is more noise than signal at this point.

Instagram is making a huge change to the way users experience the service by introducing "Recommended" posts into their personal feeds.

Since Instagram does not allow you to paste a link in the post, so you are left with two options.

Instagram says the feature, which is available on both iOS and Android, is now rolling out.

There's no doubt that there will be a number of users who will not like the "recommended posts" feature.
