Portal returns in Bridge Constructor spin-off

08 December 2017, 01:46 | Ruben Stone

A new Portal game will launch this month—Bridge Constructor Portal

That new rumoured Portal game? It's a Bridge Constructor spin-off

The followup to Valve's smash hits seems to be a sort of bridge construction game, yet still includes the use of portals to navigate levels. You'll build bridges across Aperture Science-like testing areas, utilizing seemingly every element from the Portal universe from Companion Cubes to the orange and blue goo from Portal 2.

Valve's Portal is a beloved game, which broke the mold by being an FPS puzzle game with awesome mechanics, sense of humor, and mysterious world. All that said, the series will be making a return of sorts later this month with the just-announced Bridge Constructor Portal. I think you could make a strong argument that Portal is the ideal video game, and the world-building that was done in Portal 2 has left me absolutely starving for anything new involving Aperture Science.

For the past year we've been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series.
