An arrest has been made in connection to the disappearance of Mariah Woods

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old Mariah Woods, who is believed to be dead, North Carolina authorities and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced early Saturday. WITN is reporting Kimrey is the live-in boyfriend of Mariah Woods' mother.

Newly released warrants from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office indicate that Kimery 'allegedly knowingly concealed the unnatural death of Mariah Woods, and secretly hid the child's body'.

Kimrey is charged with concealing of death, obstruction of justice, burglary, theft, and possessing stolen property. Kimrey is being held in the Onslow County Detention Center under a $1,010,000 bond.

Saturday afternoon, officials said they were still searching for Mariah Woods, but believed she was dead.

The agency is transitioning from search operations to recovery operations, officials said.

The girl's mother made tearful pleas for her daughter in the days after she disappeared sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

The FBI said it has been sending "items of interest" to its lab in Quantico, Virginia, for priority testing in the case. "Some people may not have been home when we tried to talk to them, we will continue to contact everyone to determine if they have any information that can help us find Mariah".
