UFC star Conor McGregor allegedly involved in barroom brawl with Irish mafia figures
The UFC star reportedly earned in excess of $100 million to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match in August and hasn't fought in the UFC for 13 months.
According to Mike Mazzulli, head of the Association of Boxing Commissions [ABC], who was in attendance on the night, the UFC chose to punish McGregor for the incident and remove him from the plans for UFC 219, which will now be headlined by the bout between Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm.
The Irish superstar hasn't stepped into the Octagon since winning the lightweight championship at UFC 205 last November, with many expecting the titleholder to make his highly anticipated return at some point in early 2018. I never slap somebody if this guy can not fight with me.

"I would say, in the next 48 hours, if he is still in the country - and I understand that he may have left the country for a few days - but if he is still in the country, I understand from my sources that the Gardaí will be approaching him to give him a GIM form, which is a Garda Information Message, which is basically to tell him that there may be threats to his safety", said Mr Williams. "If it's true, we'll get it figured out and we'll go from there".

White and the UFC are understandably keen to get McGregor's signature on a new fighting contract soon. It's the most McGregor has been paid for a fight in his career. "He can do this but why I not?' This is why sometimes you have to follow rules when you're a big name, because a lot of people are watching you".
He said: "We were working on a fight for him at the end of the year".
According to sources in Ireland and the UK, McGregor got into a pub fight with Irish mafia figures who are seeking retribution. "When you make that kind of money, you're that famous and you're a professional athlete, you're gonna have an overload of cling-ons".
"Ferguson has no business to talk about anything".
The Daily Mail reported that police are "aware" of an incident that was said to have taken place in Crumlin.
And so, White continues to work toward a new deal that hopefully can work for both sides.
