New Star Wars trilogy

11 November 2017, 01:50 | Ruben Stone

New "Star Wars" characters, trilogy in development

Star Wars Battlefront 2 The Last Jedi DLC Arrives in December

The entertainment giant has reached an agreement with Rian Johnson, the director of the most awaited movie of 2017 "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", to make a new trilogy of Star Wars.

He will also write and direct the first in the trilogy, and his frequent collaborator Ram Bergman will produce. There is also now no release date for the new trilogy's first entry.

The story of the new series will be different from the current Skywalker theme. Lucasfilm and Disney are very proud, calling The Last Jedi a "powerful film". With new characters and a new location, I doubt Knights of the Old Republic will be on the table.

"He's a creative force and watching him craft The Last Jedi from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career". "We all loved working with Rian on The Last Jedi", she said.

US Navy to run rare 3-carrier military exercise in Pacific
Units assigned to the strike force will conduct coordinated operations in worldwide waters to demonstrate the U.S. He said of the North Korean threats to strike the US and its allies, "That would be a fatal miscalculation".

Ms Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, said in a statement: "Rian will do incredible things with the blank canvas of this new trilogy".

That's high praise indeed when you consider Kennedy has butted heads with other directors who have contributed to Star Wars in recent years.

The Last Jedi, which follows on from 2015's hit film The Force Awakens and is expected to focus on Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), will be in theatres in Singapore on Dec 14.

After impatiently counting down the days to a new Star Wars movie's release, analyzing every frame of footage in the trailers, and poring over any information they can find, the one thing that's most important to fans is the answer to the question "is the film any good?" A live-action "Star Wars" TV series also is being developed for a streaming service that Disney is launching to capture online audiences, Iger said.
