Wilshere has now recovered from the broken leg he suffered while on loan at Bournemouth last season and has been largely utilised in the cup competitions with Arsenal this year as he continues to work his way back into Wenger's plans. Wilshere's last England cap came when he appeared as a substitute in the shock 2-1 defeat to Iceland at EURO 2016 which led to Roy Hodgson's departure as manager.
"I think he's ready, personally", Wenger said of Wilshere. 'He was not three weeks ago, he is today.
Southgate names his squad for the showpiece Wembley fixtures on Thursday and Wenger said that Wilshere would start in an attacking midfield role at home to Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League that evening.
"A super fit Jack; I don't know how you leave him out of the England squad". It is competitive for me as well in every single competition he's ready to play. I urge them [the England coaching staff] to do it [call him up]. In Alexis Sanchez Arsenal have a great forward player and I for one am a abig fan of Olivier Giroud, but the summer signing is different. Pedrosa takes pole, Marquee to start at 7th Marquez has no problem getting to the front, and if he can sustain his usual speed, he'll clinch the title one round early. But we'll see, maybe tomorrow during the afternoon, rain changes everything so we need to see how we can manage.
"Both of the teams do well, even in training when they play against each other", the Frenchman told a press conference yesterday.
"I must say that I am pleased with the quality of our performances in every single competition".
There is always an air of caution around Wilshere who has struggled with several major injuries that have held back his career.
The Wales worldwide has been one of Arsene Wenger's most consistent players over the past month or so following a tricky start to the 2017-18 Premier League season. He is tireless in midfield, covering more ground than any other Arsenal player in each of his last four starts.
Jahlil Okafor Wants Out Of Philadelphia
With his time reduced from 30 minutes per game to 22.7 last season, he slipped to 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Okafor called it "fine" that he's out of the rotation, but was adamant about wanting to play elsewhere.
