Bungie has detailed some post-launch plans for Destiny 2 on PC

According to Bungie's Weekly Update, the next two planned instances of Trials of the Nine have been cancelled. The reason is a game-breaking emote glitch which allows people to go through walls. On Nov. 3, the Trials of the Nine will also start. The make sure you hit pre-load for Bungie's RPG shooter.

Now, this is clearly something Bungie feels it has to do in order to keep the game running smoothly, and that's fine - Destiny 2 is an online-only experience, after all.

The "Bureaucratic Walk" emote (styled after the Monty Python joke) can apparently be used to clip out of bounds in competitive multiplayer modes, giving players an advantage where they can camp out of bounds and not be harmed. If you use it, your Guardian will do a part of John Cleese's legendary walk. But it's definitely still an exploit and the player base seems split about whether using it should preclude Redeem from taking World First honors.

"As a follow-up to reported incidents of emote glitching in the Crucible, we are investigating a fix that we plan to deploy during the first week of November", community manager Chris "Cozmo" Shannon said.

According to Bungie, the studio is now working on a fix for this emote bug and whilst the event is offline this will give them a chance to test out and prevent any exploits that might be found in the competitive mode. In Destiny 2 humanity's last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. We'll see what happens when November rolls around.
