"The incident is a road traffic investigation and not a terrorist-related incident", the Metropolitan Police said in a statement Saturday evening.

Police are not now treating an incident involving a vehicle outside the Natural History Museum as terrorism-related, The Independent understands.

The road is semi-pedestrianized and is usually busy with tourists, being situated between the Natural History Museum and London's Science Museum. Most of the patients were treated for head and leg injuries. "Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing", London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

One person has been detained by Scotland Yard following the incident in Exhibition Road in South Kensington. The area was cordoned off Saturday by heavily armed police, according to video posted on social media.
