Kodiyeri Balakrishnan: Amit Shah is a toothless lion

Yogi Adityanath participates in BJP's Janaraksha Yatra in Kerala

Left leader and CPI-M General secretary Sitaram Yechury replied to Yogi's allegations in a press conference and said- "The entire cycle of violence was started by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the day assembly election results were announced in Kerala past year". A high-level meet is now underway at the prime minister's residence with a major announcement expected soon, reported CNN-News18.

He had launched the BJP's Jan Raksha (Protect the people) yatra on Tuesday from Kannur, the home base of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan that is notorious for political clashes. Balakrishnan said Amit Shah don't have the courage to participate in the Yatra in Pinarayi.

Shah has called for protests by BJP workers outside the CPI (M) headquarters in New Delhi every day till October 16. "Finally, Amit Shah skipped his visit to Kerala", said Ramesh Chennithala. A party release had said "the yatra to be led by state BJP chief Kummanom Rajasekharan, which was scheduled to commence on 7 September, has been postponed to October". "Vijayan is heading a government that denies the democratic rights of people and has turned out to be a miserable failure to maintain peace", said Adityanath, speaking to the media during a break in the course of his yatra.

Adding punch to BJP's ongoing "Jana Raksha Yatra' in God's Own Country Kerala, BJP'S Hindutva face Yogi Adityanath has landed in Kerala to take on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan". He said, "it is in the nature of the Left party to grab power at gunpoint". Yesterday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, had led the yatra and accused the Left party of promoting "jihadi terrorism".

The Chief Minister of India's most populous state also earlier blamed Chief Minister Vijayan for the 300 deaths in the state due to dengue and hundreds more due to chikungunya. Both CPM and RSS-BJP have lost cadre to political violence in Kannur but the number of dead are nearly evenly matched, indicating that these two outfits are engaged in a chilling tit-for-tat murder spree.
