"These 2018 updates make the Range Rover Sport an even more attractive proposition with Carbon dioxide emissions down to 64g/km and a 101mpg on the combined cycle coupled with new infotainment technology making life simpler", said Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director, Jeremy Hicks. The plug-in hybrid variant of the new Range Rover Sport, called the P400e, is the first electrified model to be released since JaguarLand Roverannounced last month that it will have an electrified version of every model on sale from 2020. Badged 400e, the new model basically lays out the path that virtually every vehicle maker will follow as global cities clamp down on compromised air quality: it uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 85kW electric motor fed by a 13.1kWh high-voltage lithium ion battery to deliver a total power output of 404bhp.
The Range Rover Sport is faster, as is the new SVR (more on that in a second), but the P400e can still blast from 0-62mph in 6.7 seconds before topping out at 137mph.
Offering 398 horsepower, 472 pound-feet of torque, and 31 miles of pure-electric range, the new PHEV will be badged P400e.
Jaguar Land Rover UK managing director, Jeremy Hicks said: "The current Range Rover Sport has performed exceptionally well in the UK market since it was introduced in 2013 selling just shy of 50,000 vehicles to date".
In the default Parallel hybrid mode, the vehicle uses both the gas and the electric motors to maximize efficiency. With four-cylinder petrol power and the ability to run in silent electric mode, the new P400e is far more representative of JLR's electrified future.
U.S. game show icon Monty Hall dead at 96 Moving to NY in 1955, he joined forces with writer-producer Stefan Hatos, and the two created the show that would make his name. The " Monty Hall Problem", which ends with a counter-intuitive solution, includes three doors, two goats, and a auto .
A "Save" function will keep the battery topped up to a preset level, while "Predictive Energy Optimisation" uses data from the sat nav's GPS system to maximise economy over hills. Three new alloy wheel options underline the Range Rover Sport's purposeful attitude, by accentuating its athletic stance.
The 13.1kWh lithium-ion battery is mounted at the rear beneath the boot floor, reducing boot space from 780 litres to 703 litres.
When rapid charging, a full charge can be achieved in as little as 2 hours 45 minutes at home using a dedicated 32-amp wall box.
As for the cabin, that has been jazzed up a bit with up to 12 power points (including two standard plugs for charging laptops) and two high-definition touchscreens - the sort of luxuries that help elevate a Range Rover above the competition.
The refreshed Range Rover Sport diesel range now kicks off with with the 2.0 litre SD4 HSE at £61,315, with the 3.0 litre SDV6 HSE at £65,145, the 4.4 litre SDV8 Autobiography Dynamic at £89,950. Deliveries begin early in 2018.
