The two women 'pawns' facing death penalty over assassination of Kim Jong-un's brother

Police cars carrying the two suspects enter the Shah Alam court house outside Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on Monday Oct. 2

Two women charged with the murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's estranged half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, pleaded not guilty in a Malaysian court on Monday, the media reported.

Siti Aisyah of Indonesia and Doan Thi Huong of Vietnam pleaded not guilty on Monday, the trial's first day, to killing Kim on February 13 at a crowded Kuala Lumpur airport terminal.

Siti Aisyah, from Indonesia, and Doan Thi Huong, from Vietnam, entered their pleas at Malaysia's High Court on Monday, almost eight months after the airport assassination.

Malaysia named several North Koreans, who fled the country shortly after the killing, in connection to the case.

Blood tests on the two murder suspects showed they had normal enzyme levels, said chemical pathologist Nur Ashikin Othman on the second day of their trial in Malaysia's High Court.

Jong-nam told her "he was attacked from behind by two women" with one of them wiping something over his eyes.

Monday's testimony reconstructed Kim Jong Nam's final moments at the airport, while Tuesday's session focused on the cause of death.

The two young women, aged twenty years, are seldom expressed in public since their arrest after the killing that occurred on 13 February at the Kuala Lumpur global airport, where Kim Jong-nam was waiting for a plane to Macau, the former Portuguese trading-post became the paradise of the casinos in the south of China.

North Korea has refused to accept the dead man was Kim Jong Un's half brother, suggesting instead he died of a heart attack.

The ministry also informed that the fighters had holed up in a nearby building during a confrontation with the Afghan forces. Under Trump's plan, more than 3,000 troops will be added to the 11,000 U.S. forces already on the ground in Afghanistan.

Jong-Nam had also been in stabile condition following medical treatment by the doctor at klia2 Menara clinic prior to being sent to Putrajaya Hospital.

Both of them pleaded not guilty for the death of the half-brother of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Diplomatic relations between North Korea and Malaysia, once somewhat friendly, collapsed as a result of the murder.

Jong-nam, who travelled with a passport bearing the name of Kim Chol, died while on the way to the Putrajaya Hospital. North Korean agents told them that they were part of a prank for a hidden-camera reality show.

Zuliana Idris, who worked as an information clerk at Kuala Lumpur airport, described how Mr Kim asked in English to be taken to a police station.

Airport clinic Dr. Nik Mohd Adzrul Ariff Raja Azlan gave a detailed account of Kim's rapid decline. Less than a month after the murder, a video emerged purporting to show his son, Kim Han Sol, saying he was in hiding - and that he had been helped by an organization calling itself Cheollima Civil Defense. Prosecutors have said they will call multiple expert witnesses to testify to the women's guilt.

Their lawyers argue the women were duped and the true culprits were North Korean agents who told the women what to do.

Deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin said it was premature at this stage for the defence to request the names as the prosecution would disclose the names during the trial.
