ESPN Critic Clay Travis: 'I Believe in Only Two Things Completely: The First Amendment and Boobs'
On Friday afternoon, OutkickTheCoverage.com's Clay Travis appeared on CNN for an interview with Brooke Baldwin to discuss ESPNSportsCenter anchor Jemele Hill's criticism of Donald Trump and ESPN's reaction. He replied: "That's what I do: Because I like boobs and the First Amendment, which is exactly what I said".
After Travis confirmed to Baldwin that she heard what she thought she heard, he pretty much lost her attention and anything he said following that point was rendered ineffective.
"Hold on, I just want to make sure I heard you correctly as a woman anchoring this show", the host interjected.
You read that right, the First Amendment and boobs.
Baldwin and the other guest on the segment, Keith Reed, were flabbergasted.
Though his counterparts were visibly upset, Travis shamelessly stood by his remarks.

You'll notice that nowhere in that rundown of the past week's events was there mention of the word "boobs" or anything remotely to do with "boobs" - aside from completely irrelevant anatomical facts about key players in the story.
Reed and Travis went back and forth while a confused Baldwin attempted to make sure Travis was saying "boobs" and not "booze".
Travis called that a "bad move", explaining, "I am a First Amendment absolutist". "What did you just say?"
"That was entirely inappropriate and just forgive me that it took a second".
"Boobs", he repeated helpfully. "Why would you even go there?"
"Why would you even say that live on national television and with a female host?" she asks.
CNN didn't immediately release a statement on Travis' comment.
Travis' comments were widely condemned while special praise was reserved for Baldwin, who didn't let Travis get away with the "joke".
