Taylor Swift expected to testify in photo grope case
Mueller, then 51, was a morning host at a country music station when he was assigned to attend Swift's concert at the Pepsi Center in Denver. He recalled being kicked out of Swift's concert by her tour manager.
Mueller, who denies the allegation, was sacked from his $150,000 a year job as a morning host at radio station KYGO two days after the alleged incident.
His lawyer, Gabriel McFarland, contends that Mueller may have been misidentified after someone else touched Swift.
Swift countersued for sexual assault and battery in October 2015.
Wearing a dark blouse and with her hair pulled back, she was accompanied in court by her mother Andrea.

Swift, 27, is expected to testify in detail about the alleged sexual assault - which was captured in a photo that's set to be key evidence in the case. She says she does not know Mueller and has no incentive to target him or to fabricate a story.
Attorneys for Swift, one of the most powerful celebrities in the world, argued in opening statements that Mueller was using her notoriety and fame for his own gain.
Swift and her mother have been present in the courtroom for the proceedings, for which potential jurors completed a survey that asked whether they'd gone through similar experiences and gauged if they were fans of the pop singer.
Mueller denies any inappropriate contact.
But he was sacked on 4 June, 2013, two days after the alleged incident. Jury selection is due to be completed on Tuesday (08Aug17). There will be eight jurors in the case. Taylor Swift is heading into a public legal battle against an alleged groper this week as an act of solidarity with other women in and out of the music industry who have been sexually harassed or assaulted, some experts and advocates have speculated.
Her lawyers have called the photo "damning" proof that Mueller groped her.
Jury selection is to start Monday. Court documents indicate it is unlikely that either side will settle.
